Ministry of ICT and Uttara University jointly inaugurated ICT training on Mobile Game and Application Development


An inauguration ceremony for ICT training on Mobile Game and Application Development was organized by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Uttara University. The auspicious ceremony was graced by the kind presence of Mr. K. M. Abdul Wadud, Project Director, Skill Development for Mobile Game and Application Project, Ministry of ICT, Bangladesh. Prof. Dr. M. Azizur Rahman, the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Uttara University was the Chief Guest of the program, and Prof. Dr. Eyasmin Ara Lekha, the Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor was the Special Guest. Also present were Prof. Dr. Kazi Khairul Islam, Dean, School of Science and Engineering as a special guest. The Guest of Honor of the ceremony was Kazi Mohiuddin, the Registrar, Uttara University.


The ceremony was organized to launch a four month long program of ICT training on Mobile Game and Application Development on the Android platform. A total of 184 students from the Dept. of CSE were qualified to join the training program after attending an entry test organized by the Ministry of ICT.


Mr. K. M. Abdul Wadud delivered a highly motivating speech. He stressed on the point that programming capability merely needed a logical mind which is believed to be possessed by everyone. At the end of the ceremony, Mr. Wadud, along with Prof. Dr. Md. Mijanur Rahman, Chairman of the Dept. of CSE, visited the well-equipped labs to be used for the training.
