School of Business of Uttara University organized a seminar on “Entrepreneurship Development and Business Incubator, Bangladesh Perspective” on 10 February 2016 Wednesday at the IQAC Seminar Hall at 3:00pm. The seminar was presided over by the Dean of School of Business of Uttara University, Dr Nazrul Islam. Two successful first generation entrepreneurs and a senior banker were present and shared their experiences in the seminar. In his speech, Mr Washim Alim, CEO of “Chaldal.Com” said that the success of an entrepreneurial firm depends solely on the dedication of the entrepreneur. The entrepreneur should not give less importance even on a tiny job of the company. Another entrepreneur, Mr Gazi Touhidur Rahman of “FM Plastic Industries”, in his speech, mentioned that an entrepreneur should not change his idea frequently. He or she should be strict to his ideas or initiatives that eventually bring results for the company. Mr SM Saiduzzaman, DGM of Bangladesh Krishi Bank said that the entrepreneur should have faith on the financial institutions and banks of the country. Bangladesh Krishi Bank is trying to finance not only small entrepreneurs but also financing medium entrepreneurs of Bangladesh. Mr Kazi Tareq Ullah, Chairman of Department of Business Administration also spoke on the occasion. There was an attractive question-answer session at the end of the seminar. Mr Didarul Faruk, Project Coordinator of “Entrepreneur Development Centre (EDC)” anchored the program. More than 100 students and faculty members of SoB were present in the seminar.
